On May 12, 2016 Khabarovsk hosted the Annual Far-Eastern Conference attended by the regional business community, banks and insurance companies.
Taking into account the current economic trends the organizers of the event — Export Support and Development Center of Khabarovsk Krai and Regional Agency for Business Development — decided to focus on how small enterprises run their business under the economic crisis. Year 2016 — temporary difficulties or a new reality? This was one of the topics that was discussed during the conference.
Business owners spoke about their understanding of the current economic trends, new challenges and development strategies. The attendees also discussed new methods for cost optimization and new technical solutions to manage limited resources.
Due to the weak national currency exports have opened new opportunities for businesses. Ivan Sukhanov (Head of Export Support and Development Center of Khabarovsk Krai) gave a speech on the existing national export support system and what tools the Center can provide to help exporters of Khabarovsk Krai. In the follow-up talks companies that export organic ice-cream, honey products as well as fertilizers and construction materials shared their export experience and application of state tools for export support.
The conference was highly praised by the participants who also expressed their hope to have more similar events in the future.
