Today a B2B meeting of Russian and South-Korean businessmen took place in Khabarovsk. The event became a part of a visit of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Khabarovsk.
Apart from the companies the Russian side was presented by the Far-Eastern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khabarovsk City Hall, Ministry of International and Interregional Cooperation of Khabarovsk Krai, Export Support and Development Center of Khabarovsk Krai.
The goal of the meeting was an introduction of Khabarovsk Krai investment and export projects to the companies of the Republic of Korea.
Changwon is the capital of South Gyeongsang Province and is a TOP 10 largest cities of South Korea. Besides, the city is a major industrial hub with such residents as Samsung Techwin, GM Korea, LG Electronics, Hyundai Rotem, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, Doosan Infracore, Doosan Engine, Hyosung, Hyundai Wia and STX Corporation.
Changwon holds the 4th place in the country by exports after Ulsan, Seoul and Incheon and the 5th by imports after the above three cities and Busan.
During the discussion possible fields of cooperation were pointed out including investments and trade, and as a result of the event the parties agreed to continue the dialogue and work out ways to implement joint projects.
