On March 20—23, 2018 a trade mission of Khabarovsk Krai companies to the Republic of Korea took place. The mission was organized by the Export Support and Development Center of Khabarovsk Krai supported by the Korean Agency for Promotion of Trade and Investments (KOTRA).
Producers of food and agricultural products and travel agencies represented the delegation.
The main event in Korea was an interim report of the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP Project), implemented as a part of the agreement between the Khabarovsk Krai Government and KOTRA.
Within the framework of the visit, on March 20, a seminar on how to export to the Republic of Korea was organized for the Khabarovsk Krai companies. Issues of export support of small and medium-sized enterprises and foreign experience were discussed.
During the event KOTRA`s leading experts shared their experience and the results of the implemented projects.
On March 21, the main part of the events took place — a presentation of the KSP interim report and b2b meetings. A development strategy of the export potential for Khabarovsk Krai and a presentation on strengthening of export potential of small and medium-sized businesses in the Khabarovsk Krai were presented and further research plans were agreed upon.
At the end of the official part of the event, b2b meetings with potential partners were organized for the business community of Khabarovsk Krai. Following the results of the meetings, the companies managed to agree on trial shipments of products.
On March 22, the region’s delegation visited the province of Gyeongsangnam-do, the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone and the Port of Busan.
As a result of the trade mission, the signing of export contracts in the field of inbound tourism and food exports to the Republic of Korea is being worked out.
