On the 29th of August Khabarovsk is hosting the IV Russian-Japanese Business Dialogue. Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation is one of the organizers of this event.
The program of the Dialogue consists of two roundtable discussions and one panel discussion with participation of authorities and business communities of the two countries. Attendees are going to bring up issues related to cooperation in fields of wood processing, fish processing and agriculture.
— JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization) is going to take part in the event. Its functions are very similar to those we (regional export centers) have in the Russian Federation but they also deal with investment promotion, — said Ivan Sukhanov, Head of Export Support and Development Center of Khabarovsk Krai. — Talking about numbers, at the moment we have more than 110 registered participants from both sides — with 71 from Russia and 39 from Japan. The Country of the Rising Sun will be represented by 7 prefectures, and 11 regions (including Khabarovsk Krai) from the Russian Federation will take part in the event. From the Russian side we have confirmations of the Russian Export Center and the Corporation of SME Development.
Apart from roundtable discussions we are arranging B2B meetings for the business community form both countries as well as site visits in Khabarovsk Krai including Avanagard Part in the suburbs of Khabarovsk, where Japanese JGC Evergreen has been implementing a greenhouse project, and the city of Amursk to see new wood processing facilities of RFP Group. Our Japanese partners are also going to visit a local chain of hypermarkets. After their visit to Khabarovsk Krai our guests are going to Primorsky Krai to attend the Far Eastern Forum in Vladivostok.
