Governor Shport to participate in a session of the Council for Cooperation between Regions of the Russian Far East and Northeast China
Governor Vyacheslav Shport is leaving for China on the 19th of October. Mr. Shport is to visit Beijing and participate as a member of the delegation headed by Yuri Trutnev, Vice-Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy in the Russian Far East.
The Governor is going to take part in a number of scheduled business events including COIFAIR-2016 — a major event approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and co-founded by the China Overseas Development Association (an organization directly under NDRC) and the China Development Bank. Dozens of Russian companies with investment projects are going to participate in the fair to discuss with the Chinese business community attraction of investments to Russia.
Another major event is the second session of the Council for Cooperation between Regions of the Russian Far East and Northeast China. President Vladimir Putin and General Secretary Xi Jinping agreed on establishing this council in May of 2015. The first session took place a while ago last year during the Eastern Forum in Vladivostok.
