Cooperation of Khabarovsk Krai and Japanese JGC Moves to a New Level
Khabarovsk Krai Governor Vyacheslav Shport and Senior Executive Director of JGC Masanori Suzuki met yesterday at Khabarovsk Krai Government. The parties discussed prospects of the company’s investment projects in the region.
Masanori Suzuki thanked the Governor for his big support of their greenhouse project in Khabarovsk Krai. Last year the company produced 400 tons of vegetables including tomatoes. The products are sold in retail chains and found a good market in the region.
The company initiated the second stage of the project — another greenhouse facility of 2.3 ha within Avangard Industrial Park.
According to Governor Shport the regional authorities should complete the second part of the road to the industrial park and solve a number of issues related to electricity rates and imports of planting material from Japan. The head of the region assured of full support from the government and expressed his hope for new investment projects with JGC in Khabarovsk Krai.
For the last 30 years JGC participated in more than 300 healthcare projects as a general contractor, consultant and equipment supplier, and Masanori Suzuki mentioned that the company’s experts were going to study the region’s opportunities in the field of healthcare and provide their proposals on possible cooperation.
