Khabarovsk Krai Governor Vyacheslav Shport gave his comments on the visit of the Russian delegation to India headed by Vice-Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy in the Russian Far East Yuri Trutnev.
According to the Governor, trade turnover of Khabarovsk Krai with India in 2016 equaled $20 mln. The regions have long-term relations and for a number of years Khabarovsk Krai has been exporting coal, energy equipment as well as military products. Vyacheslav Shport expressed his vision that the existing relations could establish a good ground for further cooperation between small and medium companies of both countries.
During their visit the Russian delegation met a number of businessmen and discussed possible projects in such areas as agriculture and mining as well as IT.
Vyacheslav Shport also confirmed that a group of Indian investors were going to visit Khabarovsk in the nearest future to discuss concrete projects with the regional business community.
