Russian manufacturers have exported their first batch of sweets to Qatar, as the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance reports. The products from one of the manufacturing facilities in Moscow oblast officially passed the required sanitary and hygiene certification.
As the report mentions, certification of the processed food produced in Russia for export is designed so the manufacturer knows it meets the requirements of the importing country and serves as a guarantee of its health safety. In total, approximately 16 tons of chocolate bars and hard candy were exported to this Middle Eastern monarchy.
Five months prior, Russian broke its own record in the export of confectionery products, which grew by more than 17 % in that period to reach 177.3 thousand tons. In the first nine months of this year, the export of agricultural and industrial products to Qatar increased by 40 % compared to the same period last year, reaching approximately $30 million.
