A new territory of advanced development (special economic zone) is going to be established in Khabarovsk Krai — in Nikolaevsk-on-Amur. Dmitry Medvedev signed a respective decree.
According to the Prime-Minister territories of advanced development are one of effective investment tools and the number of TORs in Russia reached 34.
The territory’s specialization is going to be fishing, fish farming, ship repairing and logistics.
As Khabarovsk Krai Governor Vyacheslav Shport put it, the new territory would give a significant impulse to social and economic development of Northern areas of the region and would help solve a very important problem — lack of energy infrastructure.
At the moment 9 residents declared their intent to invest in the territory of advanced development 3.18 billion. rubles, which in turn will create 2.4 thousand new jobs in the area.
