An E-Platform for Fishermen to Be Launched in the Russian Far East

According to Vice-Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy in the Russian Far East Yuri Trutnev an e-platform for fishermen will be launched in June-July.

The platform will be translated in several languages for foreign investors to better understand the procedures of getting access to fishing and aquaculture areas. The online service features an interactive map with available fishing and aquaculture areas in the Russian Far East. Any interested investor can use this one-stop service to choose an area and initiate a fishing or aquaculture project there.

In 2017 about 30 % of available fishing areas of the region should be given to investors. If needed, investors can finance their exploration and development projects within the chosen areas using 5 % interest rate loans provided by the Fund for Development of the Russian Far East.
